Could you host a future study day?

Our Study Days are where we get together to share good practice and learn more about and discuss subjects of interest to us all.  Some are in person and others online.  Member institutions take it in turns to host meetings, so that we get a chance to visit each other’s libraries.

If you would like to host a future study day (once the current pandemic has ended), please let us know. Your support will be very much appreciated.  Rest assured, CLAUD will meet all agreed costs for the venue, refreshments and speakers for any hosting institution.

Virtual coffee morning – April 2022

Thanks to everyone who came to the latest virtual coffee morning.

The following common priorities for libraries were identified emerging from the discussion by our Secretary, Mary Lockwood:

  • Continuing to offer opportunities to meet online and in person.
  • Staff have continued to work from home or in a blended way.  This can increase flexibility with the offer of online appointments and tutorials.
  • Virtual enquiry services are increasingly offered via webcam.
  • Free postal returns continue to be offered.
  • Libraries are continuing to support students studying remotely because they have never returned to work on campus or who self-isolating after contracting Covid-19.
